My husband and I just returned home from a lovely three night stay in the captains suite and I already can’t wait to come back! The location of this hotel is ideal for walking to all shops and restaurants, and the captains suite provides a relaxing and luxurious oasis to retreat to at the end of an adventurous day! I will be dreaming of the soaking tub and heated floors until we return! The staff were helpful with our bags upon arrival and friendly throughout the entire stay! They even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine the first night since it was our anniversary! The afternoon cookies are a nice touch as well! We can’t wait to come back and stay again soon!
We are currently staying at the inn and truly can’t say enough good things about our experience. The rooms are bright, clean, and welcoming. The location is perfect with great harbor views and just steps away from great restaurants and spots to grab a drink. Every person we’ve interacted with has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. It seems like every one takes real pride in the inn to go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. We are so glad we found the perfect spot for our couples getaway!

The Harborside Inn was incredible! The room had everything we needed and genuinely felt like home. The view is unmatched. The small balcony is perfect for watching a seaside sunset. The staff could not have been nicer. We'll definitely be back!
We stayed here for a 3-night stay and it was amazing! No elevator but they carried our luggage up for us! Great location that is walking distance from the harbor and all the cute shops/restaurants. Room was amazing (we were in the Captain’s Suite), most comfy bed and pillows ever!! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Afternoon chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch and so yummy! It rained the whole weekend and they provided us with umbrellas which was a lifesaver. 10/10 would recommend. We will deff be back next time we come to Newport!
Perfect anniversary stay! The Harborside Inn exceeded expectations. Jane at the front desk was amazing, the room was spotless with a beautiful waterside view, and the sound machine was a great touch. Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee and baked goods was a dream, and the complimentary Newport Vineyards wine was . We were close to many bars, restaurants, and shopping on Thames St. We cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Harborside Inn in mid-October, and our experience was absolutely phenomenal! We booked a waterside room with a cozy balcony that offered the perfect view. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated—just what we’d hoped for. While I do wish the bathrooms were a bit bigger and more modern, I get that it’s part of the “inn” charm. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, with quick grab-and-go options like muffins and bagels, and I especially loved the midday cookies (such a sweet detail!). Plus, having access to complimentary coffee and water all day was a lifesaver. The staff went above and beyond; when we decided to stay an extra night, they made it seamless by moving our luggage to a beautiful two-bed loft suite. The only downside was the light shining into the suite at night from the parking lot—I’d recommend blackout curtains here. The location is perfect for exploring Newport. We parked once and didn’t need our car again since we were right in the middle of it all, with restaurants and bars just steps away. If you’re looking for a charming and reasonably priced stay in the heart of Newport, this is it. I’ll definitely be back! P.S. No elevator here, but the staff is more than happy to help with bags. Not an issue for us!
I had the good fortune to stay two nights at this charming, very clean, very friendly, well-located Inn. The manager, Ms. Ford, went out of her way to be helpful as did the person running the breakfast room which was plentifully stocked to make a full breakfast. I would highly recommend this Inn.
